General

What is Zovia?

Zovia is a solo studio creating thoughtful, intelligent apps that support your daily life. We build tools that respect your time and attention—no ads, no dark patterns, just software that quietly works.

How many apps are you building?

We're building nine apps total. Four are launching first (Zistil, Zots, Zyve, Zuzzle), with five more in the pipeline (Coming Up, Luminor, 221B Baker Street, Zupply, Zirqle). Each app solves a specific problem—inventory management, habit tracking, family scheduling, puzzle games, and more. They all share the same design philosophy and work together seamlessly.

Are Zovia apps available on both iOS and Android?

Yes! All Zovia apps are built with Flutter, so they work identically on both iOS and Android. Same features, same design, same experience.

Do Zovia apps work on tablets and iPads?

No. Zovia apps are designed exclusively for phones. We believe focus comes from constraints—building for one platform (phones) means we can perfect the experience rather than compromise across multiple screen sizes.

Pricing & Subscriptions

Are Zovia apps free?

Yes, all Zovia apps have fully-featured free versions. You can use them without limits, no ads, forever. Premium tiers unlock AI features (scan, voice input, smart alerts) and extended storage. But the core app? Always free.

What are AI credits?

AI features like scanning, voice input, and smart alerts consume resources. Instead of charging per use, we give you a monthly credit allotment that resets on the 1st of each month. New users also receive a one-time welcome bonus of starter credits that never expire. Free tier: Limited monthly credits. Premium/Gold: More monthly credits, plus advanced features. Credits are only deducted when the operation succeeds—failed scans don't count against your limit.

What's the difference between Premium and Gold?

**Premium:** More monthly AI credits, intelligence features (insights, predictions, price history), priority support. **Gold:** Even more monthly credits, household sharing (up to 5 members), advanced analytics, spend analysis, and early access to new features.

Can I share a subscription with my family?

Not yet, but we're working on family plans. For now, each person needs their own subscription. Stay tuned!

Features & Functionality

Do Zovia apps work offline?

Yes! Every Zovia app is offline-first. You can add, edit, and delete data without internet. Changes sync automatically when you're back online. This is core to our philosophy: your apps should work everywhere, not just when you have WiFi.

What are Spaces?

Spaces let you organize data by context—home, work, family, personal projects, etc. Each Space is isolated, so your work inventory doesn't mix with your home pantry. You can share Spaces with others (family members, roommates, team members) and everyone sees the same data, kept in sync.

How does AI scanning work?

Point your camera at an item, receipt, or label. Our AI extracts product names, expiration dates, quantities, and more. You review and confirm before saving—AI assists, you control. Scanning uses AI credits. Credits are only deducted when a scan succeeds—failed scans don't count. All users get a generous one-time starter bonus, plus monthly credits that reset on the 1st.

What voice features do you support?

You can add items by voice ("Add milk, expires next Friday") and search by voice. Voice input is faster than typing and works hands-free when you're busy. Like scanning, voice uses AI credits.

Do you support dark mode?

Yes! All Zovia apps have beautiful dark mode that respects your system preferences. You can also override and choose light or dark mode manually.

Privacy & Security

What data do you collect?

Only what's necessary: your email, the data you create in the app, and basic analytics (crashes, performance). We don't sell your data. We don't track you across the web. We don't show you ads based on your behavior. Your data is yours.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored securely on Back4App (Parse Server) in the cloud, with local copies on your device for offline access. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export all your data as JSON or CSV at any time. No lock-in, no hassles. Your data belongs to you.

How do I delete my data or account?

**To delete app data only:** Open the app, go to Profile or Settings, scroll down and tap "Reset [App Name]". This deletes data from that specific app while keeping your Zovia account intact. **To delete your entire Zovia account:** Email hello@zovia.studio with the subject "Delete My Zovia Account" and include your email or phone number. We'll process your request within 30 days. **Guest users:** Tap "Sign Out" in the app to permanently delete all your data. Guest data cannot be recovered. App-Specific

Zistil: Can I track expiration dates?

Yes! Add expiration dates to any item, and Zistil will send smart alerts before things expire. You can customize alert timing (1 day before, 1 week before, etc.).

Zots: What's the difference between counters and schedules?

**Counters:** Track habits by counting (cups of water, workouts, meditation sessions). **Schedules:** Track habits by time (meditate daily at 7am, water plants every Sunday).

Zyve: How do activity presets work?

Instead of typing "Soccer practice at City Park from 3-5pm" every week, save it as a preset. Next time, tap "Soccer Practice" and it pre-fills everything—time, location, notes. One tap scheduling.

Zuzzle: What makes this different from other word games?

Zuzzle combines word puzzles with Monument Valley-style spatial design. You explore beautiful 3D environments, discovering words as you navigate. It's meditative, thoughtful, and visually stunning—not just another grid game.

Technical Support

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email us at hello@zovia.studio with details: which app, what happened, screenshots if possible. We'll investigate and fix it quickly.

The app isn't syncing. What should I do?

First, check your internet connection. Then try: • Force close the app and reopen • Check if you're signed in with the correct account Still not working? Email us with details.

Can I use Zovia apps on multiple devices?

Yes! Sign in with the same account on all your phones, and your data stays in sync. Changes on one device appear on all devices automatically.

What if I lose my phone?

Your data is safe in the cloud. Just sign in on your new phone with the same account, and everything syncs back. Offline-first means local copies, but cloud sync means you never lose your data.
