What Zarden does

Snap to Identify

Point your camera at any plant. Zarden recognizes the species, names the variant, and pulls in care guidance from the catalog.

Care That Fits

Watering rhythm, light needs, soil, repotting, common pests. Tuned to the species, the season, and your growing zone.

Knows Your Zone

Detects your climate zone once. Care suggestions account for indoor versus outdoor, sun exposure, and what thrives near you.

Plant Journal

Photos, notes, watering events, fertilizing, repotting. A real timeline of what you did and what worked.

Health Check

Worried about yellow leaves or a bug? Snap a photo, Zarden runs a diagnostic and suggests what to do next.

Shared Garden

Plants belong to a household, not a person. Anyone in your space sees the same plants, watering log, and reminders.

Plant Search

Find any plant across your collection by name, room, or care status. Fast even with hundreds of entries.

Yours, Always

Anonymous-first sign-up. No email or password required. Your garden lives in your private cloud account.

Why Plants

Plants Are Information, Not Just Pretty.

A houseplant tells you something every day, if you can read it. Zarden teaches you what your plant is asking for and remembers what you did about it. The goal is fewer dead plants, less guesswork, more confidence.

Identification First

Most plant care goes wrong because we treat a Pothos the same as a Fiddle Leaf Fig. Zarden starts with knowing exactly what the plant is so every suggestion is species-correct.

Local Conditions

A succulent in Seattle is not a succulent in Phoenix. Zarden factors in your growing zone, light, and humidity hints so the advice fits your apartment, not a generic blog post.

Continuity

Plants forgive nothing on Wednesday and everything on Sunday. The journal keeps track so you remember what worked and what to try next time.

Calm by Default

No streaks to break. No daily-care guilt. Reminders only when a plant actually needs one, and skippable when life happens.

Vision

Snap, Identify, Care

Camera-first workflow. Open Zarden, point at the plant, and the rest is done for you.

Species Identification

Powered by Gemini vision and the Global Plant Master Model catalog. Confidence-scored, with alternates when species are ambiguous.

Variant Detection

Where it matters (Pothos varieties, Calathea types) Zarden distinguishes variants, not just families.

Care Sheet

Pulls watering rhythm, light needs, humidity, fertilizing schedule, common issues, and propagation notes from the catalog.

Save to Garden

Tap once to add the plant to your shared garden. Auto-named (you can edit), auto-photographed, ready to track.

Journal

A Real Timeline, Not a Reminder List

Every action you take on a plant is logged with a photo, a timestamp, and a note if you want. Months later, you can see exactly when you repotted, what fertilizer worked, when the new leaf came in.

Watering Log

Tap once when you water. Zarden learns your watering rhythm and tunes reminders to it.

Photo Series

Drop a photo any time. See growth over months at a glance, side by side.

Care Events

Fertilize, repot, prune, mist, treat. Each event is logged with optional notes and photos.

Health Snapshots

Run a health check on a plant, the diagnosis and suggested action are saved to the timeline so you can track recovery.

Intelligence

Knows Your Plant, Your Home, Your Climate

Care intelligence is the heart of Zarden. Three layers of context combine into care that actually fits.

Species Knowledge

Powered by GPMM (Global Plant Master Model), a structured catalog of species with verified care profiles.

Local Climate

Detects your growing zone via location once. Care factors in season, humidity, and outdoor versus indoor.

Personal Cadence

Learns from your watering log. If you water more or less than the species default, Zarden adjusts the reminder rhythm to match.

Health Diagnostics

Snap a photo of a yellowing leaf or a suspected pest. Gemini analyzes it, names the likely cause, and suggests next steps.

Shared Garden

Plants Belong to a Household

If you live with someone, plants are a shared responsibility. Zarden treats them that way.

One Garden, Many Hands

Every plant in your space is visible to every member. No more 'did you water the Monstera?' texts.

Activity Visible

See who watered what, when. Coordinate care without coordinating people.

Tasks To Zots

Recurring plant care can flow to your Zots dashboard so it lives alongside your other household rhythms.

From Mystery Plant to Confident Care, in Three Steps

Zarden is camera-first. Most of what you do happens with a tap and a snap.

2

Save

Tap to add the plant to your shared garden. Give it a name and a room if you want.

Frequently asked

When is Zarden launching?

Zarden is in active development. We are wiring monetization and finalizing the camera-first experience now. Add your interest via the Coming Soon notification and we will let you know the moment it hits the App Store and Play Store.

How accurate is the plant identification?

Identification is powered by Gemini vision against our Global Plant Master Model catalog. For common houseplants and garden species, accuracy is very high. For ambiguous or rare specimens, Zarden surfaces alternate guesses with confidence scores so you can pick the right one.

Will it work for outdoor plants and vegetables, not just houseplants?

Yes. The catalog covers houseplants, ornamentals, herbs, vegetables, and common garden species. Care guidance distinguishes indoor versus outdoor and accounts for your growing zone.

Do I need to be a gardener to use Zarden?

No. Zarden is built for the moment you bring a plant home and realize you have no idea what it is or what it needs. The camera-first workflow means you do not need to know the species name to get started.

Will Zarden remind me to water my plants?

Yes, but quietly. Reminders are based on the actual species, your growing zone, and the watering rhythm you have established. No daily nag, no streaks, no guilt if you miss a day.

Can my partner and I share the same garden?

Yes. Zarden uses the Zovia Spaces system. Create a household space, invite your partner, and every plant, watering log, and reminder is shared between you. Plants belong to the space, not to you alone.

What happens with my plant photos?

Photos are stored in your private cloud account. They are not shared with anyone, not used to train models, and not visible outside your household. You can delete any photo or your entire account at any time.

How do I sign up?

When Zarden launches, you will open the app, tap once, and you are in. No email, no password, no third-party login. A 28-character recovery code is shown to you once so you can sign back in on any device. This is the same Zovia Identity model used across every Zovia app.
